Safeguarding at Flyford Pippins

All settings are required to have a Designated Safeguard Lead (DSL), at Flyford Flavell Pippins this is the school head teacher Mrs Rosalind Bennett, the school Deputy Designated Safeguard Lead (DDSL) is Miss Hannah Short. In addition Donna is the DDSL for Flyford Pippins.

All staff complete safeguard training which, enables them to recognise signs of potential abuse and neglect. Training is completed and reviewed annually to ensure up to date knowledge is maintained.

Family Front Door is there for parents, children and young people who can access support with the following:

• Children and young person’s behaviour and emotions
• Family relationships and parenting
• Feeling isolated and alone as a parent
• Having a new baby

Family Front Door can identify the most appropriate support for you – they can provide you with some information and advice, or find the right person to contact you to discuss your concerns and find the right way forward for you and your family. Information will be kept confidential and support will only be sough with your consent; unless they believe you, a child or young person is at risk of significant harm.
